About the job

The School Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple affordable schools in India. The ideal candidate will have experience in education management, an understanding of the Indian education system, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of educators and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the schools in the network, ensuring high academic standards and quality of teaching and learning
  • Ensure that the schools are operating efficiently and effectively, meeting all regulatory requirements and providing a safe and nurturing environment for students
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of education, increase student enrollment and retention, and maintain financial sustainability
  • Monitor the performance of individual schools and identify areas for improvement, providing guidance and support to school principals and staff
  • Build positive relationships with parents, community organizations, and other stakeholders, promoting the schools’ values and vision
  • Manage the budget for the network of schools, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of educators and administrative staff, providing professional development and support as needed
  • Ensure that the schools are in compliance with all local and national regulations and standards, including safety and health guidelines
  • Collaborate with other educational institutions and organizations to promote the schools and advance the education sector in India

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in education management, preferably in the Indian education system
  • Experience managing multiple schools or a network of schools
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of educational policy and regulations in India
  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the affordable education sector in India
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving the quality of education and increasing access to education for all students.
